This domain has always said yes to things. Now it says yes to software — and shows its working.
What this desk is for
Most software you open because you have to. Some of it you open because you want to. This desk only covers the second kind — the pages you go back to on a Sunday because they are a pleasure, not because a ticket said so.
The format is short on purpose. One property, one letter grade, one line of ruling, three or four frames showing the thing actually happening, and a table at the bottom of every number we counted with the minute we counted it. If a number came off a page rather than out of a file, we say which. If a page claims something we could not verify, we do not print the claim.
And every review names at least one thing wrong with the property. A rave with no flaw in it is an advertisement, and we are in no position to write advertisements: the people who publish this desk build the software it reviews. That is the whole reason the flaws are in bold.

How a grade is decided
Open it the way a person would. Use it for longer than is comfortable. Count everything that can be counted, against the live page, and write down the minute. Then write one line — because if a verdict needs a paragraph, it is not a verdict yet.
An A means it gets better the more you know about it. A B means it is a genuine pleasure with something in it that has not been finished. Nothing here is scored out of ten, weighted, or averaged. It is a letter and a sentence, and you can disagree with both.
